July 23rd, 2009

A few weekends ago, I went to Carson stamp show here in California.  I met with my friends Tim Holtz and Wendy Vecchi to ask them some Questions about their new stamp collections. I had tons of fun and their new stamps are awesome. Thanks again guys for letting me interview you. Enjoy the video!

…0000

July 9th, 2009

This week has been a week of Copic Markers! eP has got them and may I say they are wonderful. Copic has 12 new sketch colors that are gorgeous. 0000 seems to be the main theme; not 000 (3) or 00000 (5), but 0000 (4 zeros) The new colors are…C00 and W00 (which are not part of the whole …0000 theme), RV0000 (Light, Subtle Pink) R0000 ( a bit darker than RV0000, but still subtle and pretty), YR0000 ( a peachy pink ), Y0000 (Light yellow), YG0000 ( a tad intenser than Y0000,but again still pretty light ), BG0000 and B0000 are both a very pretty, light, shade of blue (BG0000 is maybe one shade darker), V0000 ( Light Pink-y and Purple-y) BV0000 ( Think you have already heard of a BV0000, well you haven’t! You may have been thinking of BV000 or BV00 ) Tip:! When you buy copic markers, pay attention to all the numbers and letters. It can get confusing whether it’s 0000 or 00, etc., but its all worth while! ) and last but not least, one of my favorite’s G0000 ( It’s a pretty mint-y green ). So if all that summarizing was, confusing, here is a quick list: W00, C00, RV0000, R0000, YR0000, Y0000, YG0000, BG0000, B0000, V0000, BV0000, and G0000. There you have it, the new copic markers, and I have counted that in this entry, I have used 136 zeros. You can get these fabulous new colors at Eclectic Paperie.   Long live the INK! Long live the COPICS!

Interview Questions

October 3rd, 2008

Happy weekend. I do not know about you but I am glad it is the weekend. I have had a LONG week at school, but now I am just happy to relax. I know many of you are thinking that I am WAY WAY WAY overdue for a video. I am so sorry about that, but I have a little surprise for you. This weekend, I scheduled an interview with the imagincse penguins, but I like to call them Peaches and Cream. I will be sitting down with them on my NEW Simply Samantha Production Soundstage. We will chat and ask them a few questions, but the fun part about that is that I am taking YOUR questions. If you have any questions to ask our tropical friends, email me at Sam@simplysamantha.com or leave a comment below. The deadline for the questions is on Saturday. The video will be posted between now and monday so stay tuned and you might hear your question answered.

Back to School!

September 19th, 2008

It’s already September, and guess what that means? SCHOOL!!!! I of coarse don’t want summer to end, but I was excited to start a new school. I switch classes have periods, and speaking of periods, I also have zero period ( a period that starts one hour before school even starts), so I have to wake up at life 5:45 AM every day!!! Anyway, I’m glad it’s the weekend so I FINALLY have time to stamp. This card was of course “Inspired” by starting school for this card. ( HEHE ) I used the Hanna Teacher set, the Rock-a-blocks, and some BO-BUNNY paper I got a stamping store. For Hanna’s pants, I used the Basic Grey Offbeat line, and I just found some random buttons around the house. I absolutley adore this stampset sooo much. I am an easy going, hippie like girl who wants to be a teacher when I grow up, so this teacher is perfect. Well gotta go do some homework so I’ll write again soon.

P.S Did you see Taylors new stamp set!!!! It is adorable.

Mummy Wrapped

September 14th, 2008

Ok, this was my first Taylored Expression cupcake Challenge card and I am sooo excited!!! I got a split coast account and I got to use her special template!!! It’s weird because I’ve known her for a while, and only until now have I participated in her Cupcake Challenge. I used Imaginsce Hallowhimsy Paper, grosgrain ribbon for the mummy wrapping ( By the way it took me a LONG time to do that ), clear buttons, Kaiser Rhinestones, and to top it off, I used Taylor’s new Who’s your Mummy stamp. It was originally 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, but the wrapping turned out bigger than I thought it would, so it turned out to be six by six. Anyway, keep stamping. I want my mummy.

P.S Do you have any ideas of what to be for Halloween. Maybe I should be a giant rubber stamp.

Happy Labor Day!!!

September 1st, 2008

Happy Monday and Happy labor Day!!! So far I’ve been to IKEA and my sister got a new bed. Fun Labor Day right? No it was fun, and now Im going to a family party. I just wanted to wish everyone a fun day and a Happy New Year. Oh, it’s a little early for that, sorry.

(P.S The meatballs at IKEA are to DIE for!!!)

It’s an Envelope?

August 22nd, 2008

OK, again sorry I haven’t been posting for a while, but I think that this will make up for it. When my mom came back from her retreat she brought back this gift from her friend Navy. I was going to take a picyure of it but, I accidentally misplaced it, so my friend Lana has a picture on it on her blog. If you go see it, the gift that was a holiday note list was actually made out of a 9 x 12 envelope!!! I was so intrigued by this so I decided to make my own. I only had in my house a 6 x 9 envelope, so I used that. I didn’t put a receipt holder on the left side, but instead, I  cut a slip on the left and held it together with a magnetic snap.  The paper is all the Basic Grey Cupake line, and so are the brads. The whole thing is closed up by the two brads. It being small could be handy in a purse or a car.

P.S Keep visiting my blog because I am in the midst of a new video

Prisma Technique

July 29th, 2008

If you read the post below, you should already be familiar with the Prisma Technique. Above, is a picture on the Prisma Pencil Box. I took that picture because it pretty much shows the technique of the pencils and gamsol. The Gamsol pulls the color to give you that cool value effect. For more info on the technique, click here.
